Established in 1950, the Green Good Design Award is part of the Good Design Awards program, held in Chicago, USA by the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design and Metropolitan Arts Press Ltd.. Green Good Design award-winning buildings and designs are often excellent examples of applying sustainable principles and contributing to a more environmentally friendly future.

With more than 600 square meters of flexible outdoor and indoor areas, our restaurant can accommodate up to 500 guests. It is situated within the architectural complex of the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology, a prestigious museum known for its scientific research, collection, restoration, and display of historical artifacts.
Truc Lam Restaurant serves as a destination that embraces its heritage, recreating a symbolic image of a Vietnamese village: Banyan tree—Water well—Communal yard.

From the beginning of the project, Truc Lam collaborated with the design team of 1+1>2 INTERNATIONAL CONSTRUCTION ARCHITECTURE JOINT STOCK COMPANY, chaired by Architect Hoang Thuc Hao and Architect Vu Xuan Son. Our goal was to create a plan that utilized natural materials, emphasized sustainability, maximized open spaces, embraced nature, and complemented the Museum's landscape. Truc Lam Restaurant's architecture is a combination of the techniques of building earthen/bamboo walls of mountainous ethnic people and highly reusable materials. This harmonious blend of modernity and tradition provides a unique experience for customers and serves as inspiration for Truc Lam's following projects.

Not only prioritize the project's structure and materials, Truc Lam also made marked investments in the restaurant's interior decoration. This involved decor antique collections, complex carvings from agarwood, hand-sculpted natural jade stone statues, and centuries-old brocade embroidered paintings to establish a unique Vietnamese ambiance for both domestic and foreign customers.

These two prestigious awards are worthy of recognition for Truc Lam's research efforts and good cooperation with strategic partners, affirming the unique characteristics of Vietnamese culture in modern architecture, meeting world standards.
