TRUC LAM HANDMADE WELCOMES STUDENT DELEGATION FROM INTERNATIONAL VOLUNTEER ORGANIZATION BWP
As part of their trip to Vietnam with the International Volunteer Organization BWP, on August 28, 2025, a group of 70 Japanese university students visited Truc Lam Handmade to explore the working lives of Vietnam’s ethnic minority communities.
After witnessing traditional brocade weaving in Sa Pa, the students came to the Truc Lam Handmade showroom, where authentic handmade products are introduced to customers from Vietnam and around the world.
The group later gathered at Truc Lam Restaurant to watch a short documentary, join a lively exchange with the company, and learn more about Truc Lam's journey of sustainable development alongside ethnic artisans. The atmosphere was cheerful and engaging, with plenty of questions about preserving embroidery traditions and Truc Lam's nearly 30-year mission of supporting highland communities and bringing Vietnamese handicrafts to the global stage.
The experience became a bridge for cultural exchange, inspiring international students to better understand, appreciate, and help promote the values of Vietnamese heritage. It was not only an opportunity to connect but also opened doors for collaboration, as the students expressed their desire to work with Trúc Lâm to bring Vietnamese handicrafts to the Japanese market, contributing to sustainable livelihoods for ethnic minority communities.
