CONCLUSION OF THE "NÀ PHA – THE ART OF DECORATIVE PATTERNS OF THE THAI PEOPLE IN NGHE AN" EXHIBITION

After six months of display, the "Nà Pha – The Art of Decorative Patterns of the Thai People in Nghe An" exhibition has officially concluded, marking a significant milestone in Truc Lam Handmade's journey to preserve and honor Vietnam's cultural heritage.

The exhibition not only provided an artistic showcase but also served as a bridge between tradition and modernity, offering visitors an opportunity to access, experience, and gain deeper appreciation for the intricate value of Thai ethnic decorative patterns.

Originally scheduled to run for three months, from October 18, 2024, to January 17, 2025, the exhibition was extended until March 27, 2025, due to its remarkable success and widespread appeal. This extension allowed Truc Lam Handmade to continue promoting Vietnamese culture to tourists while providing engaging experiences for all visitors.

With its powerful appeal, the exhibition attracted thousands of visitors daily from diverse age groups and backgrounds, both domestic and international. Specifically:

  • Total visitors: Approximately 115,000, including 52,000 domestic and 63,000 international visitors.
  • Peak month: November 2024, with around 26,500 visitors (13,300 domestic and 13,200 international).

These statistics demonstrate the profound public interest in the decorative art patterns of the Thai people from Nghe An. Beyond being a mere display of artworks, this event created a vibrant cultural exchange space where traditional values were vividly revived and seamlessly connected with contemporary life.

Children were captivated by shadow displays of embroidered motifs, where each stitch and thread was dynamically simulated, bringing traditional craftsmanship to life.

Young visitors enthusiastically took photos at the colorful thread installation, surrounded by Nà Pha panels, evoking the vibrant atmosphere of Thai cultural festivals.

Older generations expressed deep admiration for the exquisite patterns on each artwork, closely observing the artifacts while listening to cultural stories expressed through each motif.

The documentary screening area became a special stopping point, where visitors immersed themselves in authentic footage depicting the daily life and customs of the Thai community in Nghe An, creating a feeling of stepping directly into their villages.

Beyond providing opportunities for appreciation and cultural exchange, the exhibition left a profound impact through guestbooks filled with countless visitor reflections. Sincere comments, thoughtful reflections on the connection between past and present, along with spontaneous sketches clearly reflected the event's influence and the enduring value of Thai decorative art patterns in contemporary life.

Notably, during the exhibition period, Truc Lam Handmade had the honor of welcoming numerous important diplomatic delegations, including embassy representatives, professors, and doctors from many countries worldwide. The Nà Pha collection received high praise from experts for its artistic, historical, and cultural value across multiple dimensions.

Truc Lam Handmade extends our deepest gratitude to all partners and visitors who joined us on this meaningful journey to honor our national cultural heritage. Your interest and support serve as motivation for Truc Lam to continue developing new projects in the future.
